Questions we get asked

Where does this sold price data come from?
Every price on this page is taken from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, the official record of completed sales in England and Wales. It is published under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and refreshed monthly.
How far back does the data go?
We show recent completed sales, street by street, across every London postal district. Older transactions are summarised in the street medians rather than listed individually.
Why is a sold price different from the asking price?
The Land Registry records what a buyer actually paid at completion, not what the property was marketed at. In a slower market the gap between the two can be significant.
Can I see what my own home is worth?
Yes — our instant valuation tool takes your postcode, property type and number of bedrooms and returns an indicative range built from local sold prices. For a precise figure, book a free appointment.
